Bimetal clad elbow
Bimetal clad elbow is one of the abrasion resistant pipes. Industrial wear-resistant tube, wear-resistant elbow wear has always been a factor affecting the production of safe and civilized, with the continuous development of science and technology, materials are also constantly innovative, one after another, cast stone, cast steel, alloy, paste ceramic and other materials. Abrasion-resistant pipe mainly includes abrasion-resistant elbow, straight pipe, tee, large and small head, square knuckle, reducer pipe and other structural parts, mainly used for pneumatic, pumping slurry and other material transport pipeline. Due to the high hardness, fast flow rate and high flow rate of the conveying medium, the conveying medium has a long-term continuous impact on the pipe wall, wear, corrosion and so on, so that the pipe will produce fatigue and gradually be worn through.
Bimetal clad elbows Details
The cladding process is an open-arc welding process that uses an electric arc to combine up to 20-30% of the chromium carbide alloy into a suitable steel bend composition, this process has a minimal impact on the performance of various substrates, while the wear resistance can be maximized. The cladding material is uniform, the appearance is regular, the carbide in the wear layer metallographic organization is fibrous distribution, and perpendicular to the surface, the surface hardness can reach more than HRC63, high chromium carbide content of carbide.
BIMETAL clad elbow specifications
According to different wear-resistant elbow hardness and tube thickness conditions, the small bend diameter has a certain difference, usually small bend diameter ≥ 250mm, can be made into flat tube, elbow, conical tube, cylinder.
When processing the coil, the bending direction should be as much as possible consistent with the direction of the weld, especially small diameter bending, bending according to the requirements of the supplier manufacturer. When the wear layer is on a curved surface and the surface crack width exceeds 1.5mm, the crack needs to be refitted with an RK wear-resistant welding rod.
BIMETAL clad elbow parameters
Cladding wear-resistant elbow wear layer thickness: 3 to 12mm
Cladding wear elbow hardness: HRC55~63
BIMETAL clad elbow applications:
It has been widely used in metallurgy, mining, cement, glass, power plant, port and other fields.

Ordering a Bimetal clad elbow from WALDUN
In some cases, we can modify your equipment to incorporate these bimetal clad elbow when not in the original equipment design. If your equipment has lost some efficiency or does not hold the same tolerances as new, inspect the worn parts. There could be an easy and cost effective fix to the problem.
